Where is Agali Beach located?
Agali is located on the southeastern side of Paros, 15 km from Naousa and 20 km from Paroikia. Basically, it is between Golden Beach and Drios Beach, and nearby there are also many other beaches, such as Lolantonis and Piso Livadi.
Thus, the place is ideal to start an amazing beach-hopping road trip to explore well-known and secluded bays and get charmed by the turquoise waters and the exotic landscape of Paros.
How to get to Agali Beach in Paros?
You can go by bus to Agali Beach from Paroikia or Naousa or on foot from Golden Beach or Drios Beach (about 10 minutes’ walk from both of them). However, keep in mind that during the high season (July and August) the bus gets very crowded and you may not find a seat at peak hours, having to wait for the next itinerary.
Thus, we recommend you renting a car or ATV to get conveniently to the Agali and the beaches around it. Renting a car in Paros is affordable and gives you the opportunity to discover the island at your own pace, visiting many beaches and villages and exploring the hidden gems of the island. Agali Beach is located near many other beaches, so by car you can easily have the ultimate beach-hopping experience.
What to do in Agali: Activities and facilities
Agali is an unorganized beach, so don’t expect to find umbrellas or sunbeds. Without umbrella, you should be careful during summer, as the danger for heat- or sunstroke is high. You can go to this beach early in the morning or late in the evening to avoid this danger or you can take your own umbrella.
However, sunbathing and swimming in a secluded beach away from the crowds is relaxing and offers you peace and tranquillity. Agali is the perfect combination of calmness and vivid atmosphere.
As Agali is located near Golden Beach, it has the same advantages with this famous bay. That means that you can enjoy there wind- and kitesurf, as the wind is strong and thus ideal for the lovers of these water-sports. But remember that Agali Beach is unorganized, so you won’t find there schools and other facilities. If you have your own equipment, it is a truly amazing experience to enjoy water sports away from mass tourism.
Around the area, there are some Greek taverns, bars and rooms to let, so you can find food and water anytime you want.
