Where is located Molos Beach?
Molos Beach is located on the western side of the island, in close distance to the villages of Marmara and Marpissa, 17 km away from Paroikia and 13 km away from Naousa. It overlooks the neighbouring island of Naxos and has many other famous beaches nearby.
How to get to Molos Beach in Paros?
Molos is a secluded and remote bay, so there is no public transportation that goes there. You can’t go on foot from Naousa or Paroikia, or even from Marmara and Marpissa as the distance is very long.
Thus, the easiest way to get to Molos is by your car. Renting a car in Paros is affordable and allows you to explore the island at your own pace, visiting many beaches and villages and exploring the unspoiled side of the island.
Molos Beach is located near many other beaches, such as Kalogeros, Piso Livadia, and Tsoukalia. So, you can start your day from Molos and then explore by car the wider area. Beach hopping is the best way to discover the hidden beauties of Paros and many of its numerous stunning beaches, swimming in more than one every day.
What to do in Molos: Activities and facilities
Molos is an unorganized beach without sunbeds, umbrellas, food/café facilities, etc. So, we recommend you take your umbrella to avoid the danger of sun- or heat stroke, especially during the summer months (June, July, and August). Don’t forget to bring your water and food for your stay at the beach.
As the location of the beach is on the western side, keep in mind that it is windy. This location between Naxos and Paros is worldwide famous for its ideal conditions for wind sports. So, you can easily enjoy kitesurfing or windsurfing, but only if you have your own equipment. As the beach is unorganized, it has no water sports facilities, such as schools or equipment rentals. If you are not a fan of wind sports, then it is wiser not to visit Molos in a windy day.
If you have a car, you can combine the visit in Molos Bay with other activities, such as visiting the beautiful and traditional village of Marpissa, Fanari Cape or the Cycladic church and monastery of St. Antonios.
Accommodation and restaurants
In the wider area of Molos Beach, and especially around the villages of Prodromos, Marpissa, and Marmara, you can find many accommodation options, such as hotels, rooms to let, villas, and guesthouses. There, you can also find many traditional taverns, restaurants, and coffee shops.
